The purpose of the role:

To provide comprehensive HR operational support by managing Key compliance proccesses-Including WSP/ATR submissions, IOD cases, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring sufficient time and attendance tracking, and recruitment at the operations level.

The role serves as the first point of contact for day-to-day employee HR queries, benefits guidance, and administrative support, ensuring accurate record keeping, regulatory compliance, and consistent execution of HR policies and procedures across the business.

Day-to-Day Operational HR:

  • Act as a go-to HR professional for day-to-day employee questions, ensuring timely and accurate responses with complete follow-through
  • Guide HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Answer employee queries regarding the benefits plan and refer to service providers or escalate to relevant HR team members when necessary
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity across HR Systems (PaySpace and SmartTime).
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and exit interviews
  • Assist with leave management and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor probation periods and coordinate confirmation processes.
  • Provide support in employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs.

Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) & Annual Training Report (ATR):

  • Track and record all employee training interventions
  • Liaise with training providers and SETAs to source grants and funding.
  • Compile WSP/ATR data and documentation within required deadlines.
  • Manage IOD cases from incident reporting to resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Disciplinary Hearings:

  • Coordinate and facilitate disciplinary processes for all Operational staff (Blue Collar).
  • Prepare documentation and ensure procedural fairness.
  • Maintain records of hearings and outcomes.

Time and Attendance:

  • Oversee the time and attendance system across operational sites.
  • Ensure accurate capturing and reporting of employee hours.
  • Address anomalies and support payroll processing.

Recruitment (Operations Level):

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for operational roles.
  • Conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding processes.

SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems, PaySpace is advantageous.
