Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Key Objectives:

1. Systems Design: Develop and design electrical and instrumentation systems based on project specifications.
2. Installation & Commissioning: Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
3. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure reliability and system uptime.
4. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues effectively.
5. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with South African safety regulations and industry standards.
6. Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and maintenance logs.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 35 years in electrical and instrumentation engineering within industrial environments.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Proficiency in design and simulation software.
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Certifications: Registration as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) required. Additional certifications in automation or instrumentation technologies will be advantageous.
