Company and Job Description:
As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, with a strong focus on stock control and financial reporting within a hospitality setting. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and support business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full financial accounting function, including month-end and year-end processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
- Oversee and participate in stock takes, ensuring accurate valuation and reconciliation
- Monitor stock movements and identify discrepancies or inefficiencies
- Perform cost analysis to support profitability and operational decision-making
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles (essential)
- 23 years relevant post-article experience
- Exposure to the hospitality industry (advantageous/required)
- Strong experience with stock takes and inventory control
