Senior Financial Accountant â International Logistics

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role within the finance function, taking responsibility for balance sheet integrity, interâcompany reconciliations, and monthâend close activities. Working closely with the Finance Manager and crossâborder stakeholders, this role supports accurate reporting, audit readiness, and financial control across multiple entities and currencies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls
- Manage and resolve interâcompany reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies
- Support monthâend close activities, including journals, accruals, and validations
- Partner with the Finance Manager to monitor vendor reconciliations and clearing accounts
- Monitor cash clearing accounts and support supplier payment approvals
- Lead external audit processes, including the preparation of audit schedules and resolution of audit queries
- Manage VAT submissions and support corporate tax accounting requirements
- Drive process improvements aligned to group finance policies and risk controls
- Support ERP system usage, reporting dashboards, and financial data integrity
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
- Professional accounting qualification (advantageous)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role
- Strong interâcompany accounting experience
- Proven exposure to multiâcurrency and multiâentity environments
- Skills:
- Strong balance sheet and reconciliation capability
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
- ERP system experience essential (SUN / TMFF advantageous)
- Experience with financial dashboards and reporting tools
- High attention to detail and strong problemâsolving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Preferred:
- Experience within an international, highâvolume transactional environment
- Exposure to the logistics, freight forwarding, or similar industries
