Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

• Provide accurate mechanical design input, perform engineering calculations, and ensure compliance with project, client, and regulatory standards
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, scopes, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with design intent
• Identify scope variations and prepare supporting documentation as required
• Ensure correctly specified mechanical equipment is sourced to meet project deliverables
• Deliver high-quality engineering outputs within budgetary and schedule constraints

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years post-graduate experience in a senior mechanical engineering role within heavy industrial projects
• Proven exposure to mining or mineral processing environments
• Registered ECSA Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving ability with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently while building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationship

Qualification:

• Minimum BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
