Multi-Skilled Maintenance Handyman (JHB & Pretoria)

We are looking for a practical, reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Handyman to support our Corporate Retail Stores in Johannesburg and Pretoria.

This role will focus on day-to-day store maintenance, ensuring stores remain operational, safe and presentable.

This is initially a 3-month fixed-term pilot contract, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and operational requirements.

• General store maintenance and repairs
• Door, lock and hinge repairs
• Roller shutter adjustments and repairs
• Basic carpentry and hardware repairs
• Lighting and minor electrical repairs
• Ceiling tile and minor tiling repairs
• Minor plumbing repairs
• General wear-and-tear maintenance
• Identifying maintenance issues before they become major problems
• Maintaining good workmanship and turnaround times
• Completing job cards, photos and maintenance reporting

• Proven handyman or general maintenance experience
• Experience working in retail, commercial or property maintenance environments
• Basic electrical fault-finding capability
• Basic carpentry and plumbing experience
• Good problem-solving ability
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver’s licence
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and professional

• Experience with aluminium doors and shopfronts
• Experience with locks and ironmongery
• Experience with roller shutters
• Basic understanding of preventative maintenance

• Position based in Gauteng
• Travel between stores required
• Tools and equipment will be provided
• Vehicle arrangements to be discussed
