Junior Accountant

An established organisation is seeking a Junior Accountant, preferably with exposure to the Engineering, Construction, or Mining sectors, to support the finance function in a fast-paced, operational environment. This role is ideal for a finance graduate or early-career accountant looking to gain solid hands-on experience and grow within a commercial setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day accounting transactions and financial administration
- Prepare journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support month-end close and basic financial reporting activities
- Assist with management accounts and financial analysis
- Support VAT processing and compliance requirements
- Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and financial records
- Assist with audit preparation and respond to finance-related queries
- Provide general finance support across the business as required
- BCom degree (minimum requirement)
- 2+ years accounting or finance experience
- Industry exposure to Engineering, Construction, or Mining is advantageous but not essential
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- High level of attention to detail
- Well-organised and deadline driven
- Proficient in Excel and basic accounting systems
- Proactive, eager to learn, and a strong team player
