A well-established and reputable engineering firm based in Rosebank is urgently looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team as soon as possible.This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance / Accounting graduate with 12 years of experience who is eager to grow in a fast-paced, structured, and deadline-driven environment.
We are looking for someone resilient, switched on, and able to thrive in a tougher, high-performance environment.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance / Accounting / BCom
- 12 years of accounting/finance experience
- Strong Excel skills essential
- Experience with reconciliations, journals, and general finance administration
- Exposure to accounts payable/receivable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in an engineering/manufacturing / industrial environment advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing journals and maintaining accurate financial records
- Bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end reporting
- Managing invoices and payments
- Supporting the finance team with reporting and administrative functions
- Assisting with audits and compliance documentation
