A modern, well-established Dental Practice in Randburg, Johannesburg, is seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Dental Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about patient care, takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation, and enjoys working as part of a professional dental team.
The successful candidate will assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring that the dentist, patients, and practice environment are well supported.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
- HPCSA registered
- Good knowledge of dental assisting procedures and sterilisation protocols
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a structured, fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach with the ability to take initiative
- Good computer skills
- Willingness to assist with basic reception duties when required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the dentist during procedures
- Preparing and setting up surgeries for procedures
- Sterilising instruments and maintaining proper infection-control standards
- Managing stock take and maintaining accurate inventory
- Ensuring all equipment and treatment areas are clean, organised, and ready for use
- Providing a welcoming and professional patient experience
- Assisting with basic reception and administrative duties when required
- Maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of the practice
- Supporting the dental team with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 & Saturdays: 08:00 – 12:00 (one off Saturday a month)
Salary: R12 000 – R15 000 per month before deductions, depending on experience
