Job Description
Our client has an opportunity for an experienced applicant to join their team in the capacity of a Buyer. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following- Research and evaluate suppliers, negotiate price, and manage relationships
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure purchase orders are confirmed
- Actioning daily price enquiries from Internal Sales department
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, service, and delivery
- Negotiate purchase terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing, quality, and service
- Create and manage purchase orders and supplier sales contracts
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new supplier opportunities
- Inventory Management
- Other Related Duties
- Matric
- Degree/Diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain Management or Related
- 3-5 Years experience in Raw Material Buying
- Experience from the Food Manufacturing
- Good Negotiation Skills
- Supplier Management skills
