Our client is the Food Manufacturing company based in Cape Town

Job Description

Our client has an opportunity for a qualified Millwright to join their company in the capacity of a Millwright. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:

Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
Assembling/Disassemble and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly.
Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues
Mechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar tools
Planned Maintenance
Other related duties

Qualifications

Matric
N4 N6 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related
Millwright Trade Test/Red Seal

Skills

3-5 years Post Trade Test Experience
Experience in Food Manufacturing/FMCG is essential
Knowledge of Refrigeration equipment is advantageous
Must be willing to work shifts
Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail
