Job Description

The Technical Sales Representative serves as a key point of contact between the organisation and client. The successful incumbent will be selling safety equipment, electrical & mechanical equipment as well as consumables like adhesives and lubricants into Mining, Manufacturing, Construction and Engineering sectors.

• Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Ensure excellent customer service and professional client engagement
• Understand client requirements and recommend suitable products and services
• Update and maintain CRM systems with accurate sales information
• Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates and activity reports
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities

• Grade 12
• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or related fields
• 5 Years experience servicing the Mining, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Steel or Industrial industries selling various Industrial and Chemical types of products and services.

• Strong Sales, negotiation and business development capabilities
• Technically Astute
• CRM Systems and sales reporting tools
• Proposal and quotation preparation

• Commission
• Petrol Allowance (Will be discussed further)
