Financial Manager

Our client within the environmental sector is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded finance professional looking to step into a role that combines technical expertise with operational involvement. You will work closely with senior leadership, playing a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, improving business processes, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts
• Manage full month-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
• Perform accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee cash flow management and reporting
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
• Manage debtors and creditors functions
• Monitor and control inventory processes
• Support operational cost tracking, including labour and overtime
• Compile annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Conduct margin analysis to support profitability improvement
• Manage inter-group transactions and reporting
• Report directly to the CFO and General Manager

Experience:

• Minimum BCom Degree in Finance, with Honours
• 23+ years relevant experience within a finance role
• Exposure to inter-company environments is essential

Skills:

• Strong financial reporting and compliance knowledge
• High attention to detail with strong reconciliation skills
• Ability to operate independently without the need for micromanagement
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking ability
• Effective communicator with a professional approach
