Temp Metrology Technician

The Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Temp Metrology Technician to support quality assurance through dimensional evaluation and measurement of components. This role is focused on ensuring product conformity, preventing defects, and continuously improving quality standards in alignment with customer and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform dimensional measurement and analysis of components to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Support the part approval process for internal and external supplier parts.
• Resolve production-related quality concerns using root cause analysis and metrology tools.
• Approve dimensional quality of vehicle components at key project milestones (PEP).
• Support suppliers with correct metrology practices aligned to ISO/VDA standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification: National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years in dimensional metrology (tactile or optical).
• Minimum 5 years with measurement software (e.g., PC-DMIS, GOM, Polyworks).

Key Skills & Knowledge:

• CMM programming (offline/teach) and maintenance knowledge.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with CAD software (preferably Catia).
• Interpretation of technical drawings and fixture design.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (Press Shop, Body Shop, Assembly, etc.).
• Strong analytical thinking, planning, and prioritisation abilities.
