Quantitative Business Analyst

Our client is a respected player within the banking and financial services sector, renowned for its focus on innovation, quantitative excellence, and robust risk management practices. They are seeking a Quantitative Analyst to support the development, implementation, and enhancement of pricing and risk management solutions while working closely with stakeholders across business, technology, and quantitative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain pricing and risk management solutions, including associated IT processes, testing, production support, and maintenance
• Construct, validate, and critically analyse financial models including product pricing, curve stripping, scenario analysis, and risk analytics
• Participate in process design, testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation within pricing and risk analysis environments
• Analyse quantitative systems capabilities and identify opportunities for enhancement
• Design, test, configure, and implement quantitative software applications and integrated solutions
• Validate data flows, system logic, and quantitative processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Investigate and resolve recurring production incidents through collaboration with multiple stakeholders
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications and system solutions
• Drive process improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to systems, controls, and operational processes
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand emerging requirements and technology demands
• Support roadmap development for system enhancements and business growth initiatives
• Coordinate integration activities with internal teams and external service providers
• Monitor solution benefits against business case expectations and defined success metrics
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and quantitative methodologies to identify opportunities for innovation

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
• Postgraduate qualification in Mathematical Finance or a related quantitative field advantageous

Experience:

• 35 years' experience within a quantitative, risk, pricing, business analysis, or financial modelling environment
• Experience designing and implementing integrated quantitative solutions
• Experience configuring, testing, and supporting quantitative systems and applications
• Exposure to financial markets, pricing models, and risk management frameworks
• Experience engaging with both business and technical stakeholders

Skills:

• Strong quantitative modelling and analytical capabilities
• Solid SQL skills and ability to analyse and interrogate large datasets
• Understanding of financial instruments, multiple asset classes, and trade lifecycles advantageous
• Business process modelling and systems analysis experience
• Strong understanding of data models and system integration principles
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work within complex environments
