We are looking for a sharp, career-motivated Junior Accountant to join a leading firm within the Engineering, Construction, and Mining sectors. Key Responsibilities- Project Accounting: Assist in managing the financial lifecycle of engineering and construction projects.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Statutory Compliance: Assist with VAT, tax submissions, and ensuring adherence to industry-specific regulations.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows within the mining and construction environment.
- Education: A completed BCom degree in Accounting or Finance is essential.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification experience (exposure to Engineering, Construction, or Mining is highly advantageous).
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Attributes: A rigorous attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, industrial project environment.
- Drive: A proactive individual who is eager to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
- Remuneration: R600,000 per annum (CTC)
- Location: Kempton Park
