Junior Accountant

Our client is a specialist engineering and manufacturing company delivering solutions across project-based operations and technical production.

The Junior Accountant will manage full transactional accounting, including journals, invoicing across multiple entities, project-based allocations, and product code analysis. This role supports the finance function and ensures accuracy across financial processes for operational and project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full end-to-end transactional accounting, from journals to invoicing
• Manage invoicing across multiple entities and projects
• Allocation of revenue and costs to project and product codes
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations
• Support month-end close and reporting
• Assist with financial analysis and management accounts
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate project accounting
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes and systems

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting / Finance essential
• 3+ years experience in accounting within manufacturing, engineering, or project-based environments
• Experience with multi-entity invoicing preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliation processes
• Knowledge of project accounting, product codes, and cost allocations
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to manage high-volume transactional work
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations and project teams
