Job Description
Our client is looking to employ an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join their well-established and reputable law firm. The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative, high-performing team and will be expected to demonstrate professionalism, strong legal expertise, and excellent client service.
You will be responsible for:
- Handling all aspects of civil litigation, including divorces and related matters
- Drafting and reviewing applications, summonses, affidavits, notices, and other court documents
- Representing clients in the High Court, Magistrates Court, Labour Court, and Land Claims Court
- Managing files efficiently and maintaining clear communication with clients, Advocates, Sheriffs, and The Masters Office
- Supporting a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence within the firm
- LLB Degree from an accredited University
- Admitted Attorney in the High Court of South Africa
Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- 3 5 years post-admission experience in civil litigation
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans
- Experience with Ghost Practice will be advantageous
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality work
