Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Oversee the general ledger, journals, and reconciliations
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
- Liaise with auditors and support internal and external audit processes
- Provide financial insights to support operational and production decisions
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- BCom Accounting
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (essential)
Experience:
- 35 years experience in a Financial Accountant role
- Exposure to the mining, engineering, or heavy industry sector advantageous
