Telesales Team Leader

TELESALES TEAM LEADER | CONTRACT

A leading financial services environment is looking for an experienced Telesales Team Leader to lead, coach and drive the performance of a high-performing sales team on a 12-month contract. Experience with long-term insurance products such as life and funeral cover is a must.

• Matric
• Degree (NQF 7) in a relevant field that is FAIS compliant
• RE5 certification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience leading a sales team within a long-term insurance environment
• Proven experience managing sales targets and KPIs
• Experience in coaching, mentoring and performance management
• Strong understanding of contact centre sales processes and customer service standards

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of sales consultants
• Drive daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
• Monitor team performance against agreed KPIs and sales objectives
• Coach and mentor consultants to improve sales performance
• Identify performance gaps and implement appropriate interventions
• Support the team with sales techniques, objection handling and customer engagement
• Analyse sales and performance reports and provide feedback
• Manage escalated customer queries where required
• Ensure adherence to quality, compliance and operational standards
• Promote accountability, teamwork and a strong performance culture
