Group Accountant

An established, leading business operating in a dynamic industry, committed to excellence, collaboration, and delivering high-quality financial insights is looking to employ a Group Accountant on a 6 month contract. This opportunity is for an immediately available CA(SA) that has gained commercial experience.

• Collaborate with various divisions, lead projects, and contribute to shaping informed business decisions

What you will be doing:

• Produce consolidated balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and management accounts
• Perform operational and financial analysis
• Oversee and execute the consolidation process
• Deliver management, financial, and group accounting functions
• Forecast results and assist in annual business planning
• Provide technical accounting support
• Manage the group statutory audit process
• Draft annual financial statements
• Ensure a fully operational consolidation and reporting system

What we are looking for:

• Must be a CA(SA)
• 5 years' finance experience, including articles
• Strong IFRS knowledge, and hands-on consolidation experience for a large group
• Previous caseware, SAP and SAP BPC experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
• Ability to work independently under pressure
• Strong team player
