Junior Hotel Receptionist

A well-established hotel known for its warm hospitality and personalized guest experience. As the first point of contact, our receptionist should embody a polished, professional, and welcoming front-of-house presence. Please note only candidates with previous hotel or guesthouse reception experience will be considered.
Start date - ASAP.
Candidate Requirements (Non-Negotiable)- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be a confident and competent driver
- Practical driving ability essential
- Own Reliable Transport
- Cannot rely on public transport (shift work)
- Must be able to travel after 9pm
- Location
- Must live in Kuilsriver or surrounding areas
- Acceptable areas: Bellville, Brackenfell, Kuilsriver
- Within ±20km radius only
- Professional Appearance – HIGH PRIORITY
- Corporate, polished, well-groomed presentation required
- Professional FOH grooming standard
- Neat, classic corporate look
- This is a first-impression / guest-facing position
- Age Range
- 25 – 40 (client preference)
- Language
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Afrikaans
- Excellent communication and guest-interaction skills
- Professional, polished front-of-house presence
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving ability
- Calm and diplomatic in difficult situations
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment preferred
- Strong administrative skills (typing, email handling, reservations)
- Confident, well-spoken, warm personality
- Ability to multitask and manage a busy front desk
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Weekends and public holidays included
- Warmly welcome and assist guests
- Manage check-in and check-out process efficiently
- Handle guest queries and provide relevant information
- Answer phone calls and emails professionally
- Maintain accurate reservation and guest records
- Provide on-site shuttle service to restaurant/tasting centre
- Assist with basic bar service when needed
Salary:
- Please advise expectation on application - this is a Junior Role
- 6 off days per month
- 21 days annual leave
