Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules for the Printing and Extrusion departments.
  • Ensure production plans are aligned with customer orders and agreed lead times.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal feedstock levels to support production requirements.
  • Liaise with Procurement to ensure the availability of bought-in reel stock.
  • Update daily production outputs and drive adherence to the production plan.
  • Work closely with Sales to provide expected delivery dates and communicate any deviations.
  • Ensure the timely supply of materials to support production requirements.
  • Maintain the accuracy of planning data on the ERP system.
  • Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and the manufacturing process to ensure products are available on time.
  • Identify and communicate potential production issues and opportunities.
  • Prepare and distribute reports to support management decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Minimum of 3 years'' production planning experience.
  • Strong understanding of production planning processes and material flow.
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles.
  • Proficiency in Syspro and Microsoft Office, Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with multiple internal stakeholders.
Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
  • CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience with high-output extruders and high-speed flexographic printing presses.
