Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general accounting functions, including journals, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis and financial insights
- Assist with group and company financial statements in line with accounting standards
- Reconcile bank, balance sheet, debtors, and creditors accounts
- Support annual audits and tax pack preparations
- Ensure accurate budget preparation, monitoring, and updates
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and key stakeholders
- Tax Focus:
- Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT, and income tax filings
- Ensure compliance with SARS requirements and meet all tax deadlines
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation
- Respond to SARS audit queries and maintain good standing
- Monitor tax legislation changes and ensure correct application
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- CA(SA) (non-negotiable)
- Higher Diploma in Tax advantageous
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years operational experience in accounting and tax
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments advantageous
- Exposure to group reporting and statutory compliance
- Non-negotiables:
- CA(SA) qualification
- Strong tax and compliance exposure
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
