Payroll Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities
  • End-to-end payroll processing (weekly/monthly) with high levels of accuracy
  • Maintain and update employee payroll data and records
  • Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and employee benefits
  • Ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, SDL and relevant legislation
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns accurately and on time
  • Handle payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation
  • Manage leave records, timesheets, and employee benefits administration
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Relevant qualification in Payroll, Finance, HR, or similar
  • 35 years experience in a Payroll Administrator role
  • Proven experience with statutory returns submissions
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems (Sage, VIP Payroll, Pastel, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong numerical ability
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
