Employer Description

Our client is a mechanical components manufacturer.

• Physical Inspection and Documentation Verification
• Check the quantity of received goods against the PO.
• Compare the delivery note from the supplier with the purchase order and the actual goods received
• Handling Rejections and Discrepancies
• Transfer material out of Receiving Bay Warehouse and generate transfer documents
• Physically move out the material from the Receiving Bay Warehouse to the designated warehouse. Ensure the storeman/responsible person signs the transfer documents and then file that with the delivery note.
• Get a receipted Job Card from Production personnel and verify that all information is complete and accurate
• Receive/ transfer all outgoing materials onto the receiving bay
• Issue stock to the Subcontract Job Card, ensuring correct processing and documentation is completed.
• Only items with POs created must be loaded for delivery to subcontractors.
• Receiving Storeman loads stock onto the truck, ensuring that it is securely fastened and properly protected against damage during transit.
• Verify that the trucks loading capacity is not exceeded to maintain safety standards
• Unload all the incoming delivery trucks
• The Quality department will issue an NCR, together with the Goods that must be returned to supplier.
• Label the items as Return to Supplier (Spray the Reject/Rework with the RED)
• Match the goods to the PO number and perform negative GRN

• Matric Certificate
• Forklift licence
• Logistic and Supply chain related qualification considered advantageous

• 2- 3 years relevant work experience
• Experience working with SYSPRO or other related ERP systems
• Ability to operate a computer and Proficiency in Excel
• Proficiency in inventory control
• Ability to read and understand production orders, purchase orders and work with minimal guidance
• Knowledge of different material categories and storage requirements
