As the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and growing product sales across South Africa. You will develop national sales strategies, manage key retailer and wholesaler relationships, and drive revenue growth through expanded distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute national sales strategies to increase market share within the sector.
- Manage and nurture relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and established chains.
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and supply agreements to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand national distribution channels.
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for new product introductions.
- Lead and support regional sales representatives or agents by setting targets and providing training.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management.
- Proven experience as a National Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or Key Account Manager.
- Significant experience within the FMCG retail/ Pet food/ agriculture sectors
- Fluency in both Afrikaans and English is essential.
- Strong understanding of retail, wholesale, and distribution channels within South Africa.
- Existing relationships with major retail chains, agricultural stores, and distributors is highly preferred.
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Remuneration:
- R60 000 - R70 000 Cost to Company salary PLUS
- Performance-based incentives and commission.
