Talent Connected Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Key Account Manager Mining based in Springs.

Reporting to the Head of Sales Mining, the successful candidate will take commercial ownership of a portfolio of mining customers, strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and drive sales growth through existing accounts and new business opportunities.

The role focuses on mining equipment, including excavators, dozers and haul trucks, and requires extensive local and international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic mining accounts.
• Develop account plans and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Identify and pursue new business with mine sites, contractors and industrial clients.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers and customer buying teams.
• Prepare quotations, tenders, proposals and commercial offers.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and service agreements while protecting margins and profitability.
• Conduct customer visits, site assessments, product presentations and tender briefings.
• Evaluate customer requirements and recommend appropriate equipment configurations.
• Estimate equipment production rates, cost per ton and required fleet sizes.
• Coordinate with factories, workshop, technical support and supply chain teams to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient delivery.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and weekly reports.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and new sales opportunities.
• Follow up on outstanding transactions, pricing queries and account payments.
• Represent the business at trade events, exhibitions and international training programmes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric.
• Post-matric technical or Sales and Marketing qualification at Higher Certificate / NQF Level 5, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years relevant sales or account management experience, ideally 67 years.
• Proven experience and a strong track record within the mining environment and mining sales.
• Extensive knowledge of mining equipment, applications, operating methods and customer requirements.
• Understanding of equipment configuration, application and operation.
• Proven ability to develop new business and achieve sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, customer service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, with experience using mining sales systems and CRM tools.
• Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally.

Advantageous:

• Diploma in Marketing.
• Experience selling excavators, dozers and haul trucks.
• Experience preparing mining equipment tenders and technical commercial proposals.

• R50,000 basic salary.
• R13,000 car allowance.
