Mechanical Design Engineer

Minimum Requirements:

• BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 to 6 years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Strong experience in full product design lifecycle

Experience with: o Autodesk Inventor

• Experience producing manufacturing and production-ready drawings
• Ability to work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and production teams
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
• Defence, aerospace, military, heavy engineering, or advanced manufacturing industry experience will be highly advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical products and components from concept through to production
• Generate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings
• Perform simulations, stress analysis, and FEA calculations
• Support prototype development and testing
• Liaise with production and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility
• Conduct engineering calculations and design validations
• Assist with continuous product improvement and optimisation
• Ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards
