Purpose of the Role:
Are you a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts within our food manufacturing facility, with a strong preference for candidates with pastry industry experience.

This role is crucial in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to elevate both product and service quality.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years in quality management, preferably within the pastry or food manufacturing industry.
  • Certifications:
  • FSSC 22000 (V6) Required
  • ISO 9001 Advantageous
  • Proficiency in 12 Principles of HACCP Essential

Technical Skills:

  • Strong command of quality management systems and related software.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools and data analysis related to quality control.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
  • Lead and mentor the quality team, offering strategic direction and day-to-day guidance.
  • Promote a culture of quality across all departments and levels of the organisation
Quality Control
  • Develop and implement robust quality control systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and documentation.
  • Monitor and analyse quality performance metrics and trends.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives targeting efficiency, product excellence, and service standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to integrate quality improvements throughout the production process.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
  • Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks including FSSC 22000 (V6), GFSI, SANHA, and HACCP principles.
  • Streamline internal processes to maximise operational efficiency within your area.
  • Support product registrations and other regulatory requirements as needed.
