Senior Conveyancing Attorney

The role suits someone with a strong property industry network, a proven ability to bring in and retain business, and the confidence to work with property practitioners, developers, bond originators, financial institutions, and other key referral partners.
Oversee compliance with legislative, regulatory, and professional requirements.
Advise clients and stakeholders on conveyancing and property law matters.
Monitor transaction progress, turnaround times, service levels, and quality standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop junior attorneys/conveyancers, paralegals, and support staff.
Allocate work, review performance, improve processes, and drive team productivity.
Develop and maintain referral relationships across the property industry.
Proven experience managing high-volume conveyancing transactions.
Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing and property law.
Experience leading conveyancing paralegals and administrative support teams.
Established professional network and existing client base within the property industry.
Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, client-focused, and highly organised.
In other words: less "back-office only", more trusted legal partner.
Duties / Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of property transfers, sectional title transactions, developments, and related conveyancing matters.Oversee compliance with legislative, regulatory, and professional requirements.
Advise clients and stakeholders on conveyancing and property law matters.
Monitor transaction progress, turnaround times, service levels, and quality standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop junior attorneys/conveyancers, paralegals, and support staff.

Develop and maintain referral relationships across the property industry.
Actively market conveyancing services, grow the client base, and contribute to strategic growth.
Requirements
510 years post-admission conveyancing experience.Proven experience managing high-volume conveyancing transactions.
Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing and property law.
Experience leading conveyancing paralegals and administrative support teams.
Established professional network and existing client base within the property industry.
Business development and marketing experience within legal services.
Education
LLB degree.Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Admitted Conveyancer and Notary.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, client-focused, and highly organised.
Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain excellent attention to detail.
