Electrical Foreman

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum qualification - An electrician trade test and wiremans licence, medium voltage experience and certification required.
• A qualification in electrical engineering coupled with the aforementioned will be a distinct advantage.
• Experience on crane systems required.
• At least twelve years post apprenticeship experience of which ± 5 years proven supervisory experience.
• Strong maintenance experience within a manufacturing and/or ship repair environment.
• Good communicator & leadership skills.
• Computer literate.
• Candidate must be willing to travel & work overtime when required.
• The ability to interact in a service-orientated environment.
• Attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on management of Durban electrical department.
• Plan, schedule, assign and supervise all electrical maintenance and projects.
• Estimate the time and material required for projected electrical jobs.
• Ensure that all projects are completed within the relevant timeframe & budget.
• Supervision of electricians, assistants, apprentices and contractors.
• Plan and manage preventative maintenance on all equipment, including cranes.
• Root cause analysis & troubleshooting of electrical issues.
• Ensure compliance with the companys health & safety and quality control policies.
