Technical Sales Representative

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' external technical sales experience
• Proven track record in new business development and achieving sales targets
• Experience selling into the industrial, engineering, mining or heavy machinery sectors
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product specifications and recommend solutions
• Excellent cold calling, negotiation and account management skills
• Well-presented with strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate new business through active prospecting and cold calling
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
• Conduct client visits and identify technical sales opportunities
• Prepare quotations and commercial proposals
• Negotiate contracts and close sales
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts
• Achieve monthly sales targets and business growth objectives
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity
• Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports
• Travel extensively throughout Gauteng to service clients
