Payroll Officer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator with strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of payroll systems and compliance to join our client's team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Minimum Requirements:
- Local citizens
- Diploma in Payroll Administration or similar discipline
- 35 years' experience in a payroll administration role
- Proven track record in handling payroll for an organisation
- Proficiency in payroll software (VIP Sage 300 People essential)
- Syspro knowledge is advantageous
- Related payroll training and development
Key Responsibilities:
- Full payroll processing (weekly & monthly) using VIP Sage 300 People
- Capture new employees, process terminations, leave, claims, promotions, and transfers
- Ensure payroll data accuracy and perform necessary adjustments
- Administer and maintain the Coin clock card system
- Capture shifts for Leave Enhancement Pay calculations
- Maintain data integrity and compliance with labour laws, tax regulations, and bargaining council agreements
- Manage UIF applications, submissions, and related processes
- Liaise with SARS, Workmans Compensation, UIF for registrations, payments, and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and supporting documentation
- Administer pension/provident fund withdrawals and related paperwork
- Ensure all payroll expenses and liabilities are accurately allocated to relevant accounts
