SQL Developer

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Maths or a related field (or currently pursuing such a degree).
• Understanding of database concepts and SQL
• 1 - 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with basic database management tools and SQL client applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
• Certifications or coursework related to database management and SQL are a plus

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with senior SQL developers and database administrators to understand database requirements and assist with the development and maintenance of databases.
• Write, test, and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and manage data stored in relational databases.
• Assist in designing and creating database schemas, tables, and indexes to support applications and business needs.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications and ensure data consistency and accuracy.
• Assist in monitoring and optimizing database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or issues.
• Help maintain data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and data cleansing processes.
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and data migrations.
• Learn and apply best practices for database security, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Document database processes, schemas, and configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain accurate records.
• Stay updated on SQL and database management trends, technologies, and emerging tools.
• Build and reports in SSRS
• Build and support Power BI Models
