Senior Draughtsperson / Civil Modeller

1. Grade 12
2. National Certificate or Diploma in: o Multi-disciplinary Drawing Office Practice (MDDOP), or
3. Civil/Structural Engineering
4. 10+ years experience as a draughtsperson within civil engineering, structural engineering, or infrastructure design
5. Advanced proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor or Civil 3D
6. Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision on complex drawings and modelling tasks
7. Solid understanding of design standards, documentation requirements and office drawing practices
8. Ability to interpret technical information, engineering sketches and design notes accurately
9. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines
10. Understanding of BIM methodologies and ISO 19650 information management concepts (CDE workflows, naming conventions, metadata, revision status, etc.)
11. Experience with ACC Docs
12. Exposure to multidisciplinary civil infrastructure design (roads, earthworks, stormwater, municipal or structural environments)
13. Experience using additional Autodesk tools such as InfraWorks, Navisworks, Plant 3D, Inventor or Revit

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality 2D drawings and 3D civil models for infrastructure and structural projects using Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Inventor or AutoCAD
• Translate conceptual designs, engineer mark-ups and specifications into accurate, construction-ready documentation
• Apply structured digital workflows, including BIM-aligned principles such as model organisation, file naming, revision management and data integrity
• Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and adherence to drafting & BIM standards
• Perform digital terrain modelling, alignments, corridors, pipe networks and quantity extraction as required
• Collaborate with engineers, technologists and project managers to ensure coordinated design outputs
• Contribute to team capability development
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Uphold strong professional, ethical and communication standards in all interactions
