Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food across all sections of the kitchen
  • Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs
  • Ensure food is stored and handled properly in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times
  • Assist with stock rotation and the maintenance of kitchen inventory
  • Learn and develop culinary skills by working closely with experienced chefs
  • Comply with all hygiene, health and safety regulations
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Support the kitchen team during busy periods

Requirements:

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Previous kitchen experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
