Mechanical Design Engineer: Product Development

This role is ideal for an innovative Engineer with strong CAD skills, a passion for problem-solving, and experience in developing manufacturable products. Experience in CAD, DFM, GD&T, prototyping, and full product lifecycle development will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Generate detailed 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs.
• Participate in concept development, feasibility studies, and prototype testing.
• Perform engineering calculations and basic FEA analysis.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality departments.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and product validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
• Drive the continuous improvement of existing products and processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• BEng / BTech / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 35 years experience in mechanical design or product development.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, NX, or similar CAD software.
• Good understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with sheet metal, machining, fabrication, or injection moulding advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
