Construction HR Manager
Location: Cape TownSalary: ± R50,000 CTC per month
A leading Building Contractor based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Construction HR Manager to manage and oversee all human resources functions within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all HR operations across multiple construction sites and head office
- Ensure full compliance with BIBC agreements, labour legislation, and statutory requirements
- Handle industrial relations, including disciplinary hearings, grievances, and CCMA matters
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and workforce planning for site and staff personnel
- Advise management on labour risk, workforce strategies, and employee relations
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
- Liaise with unions, site management, and external stakeholders where required
Minimum Requirements:
- 68 years proven HR experience within the construction industry
- Strong, practical knowledge and understanding of BIBC (essential)
- Solid experience in industrial relations and labour law within a site-based environment
- Relevant HR qualification (Degree / Diploma)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to operate confidently in a high-pressure, deadline-driven construction setting
