Job Purpose:

To provide the full spectrum of on site Human Resources support to the BIL Divisions, which include HR Administration, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance Management, Talent Management and Employee Relations (including CCMA representation).

Qualifications:

Secondary education: Matric (Grade 12)

Tertiary Education: B Degree or N Diploma in HR

Experience:

Years of experience required: At least 5 years HR related experience

Specific experience required: Full HR generalist experience to include IR.

Competencies:

Knowledge: HR Administration, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance Management, Talent Management and Employee Relations (including CCMA representation).

Specific experience required:

Full HR generalist experience and HR Partnering with internal clients.

SkillS:

Strong interview skills
  • Stong Admin skills

ComputerLiteracy:

Intermediate - Advanced (MS Office)
  • SAGE 300 People experience essential. Modules - Employee Management, Job Profile Management, Personnel Management, Report writing

Main Activities
  1. Recruitment & Selection
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: advertising, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Conduct credit/criminal checks and prepare contracts/starter packs.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation (applications, salary advice forms).
  1. Payroll Administration
  • Maintain and update employee records on SAGE 300 People system.
  • Capture new employees, posts, and upload all documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and professional upkeep of payroll data.
  1. HR Administration
  • Prepare contracts, promotion/increase/job title change letters.
  • Manage employee files, confirmations of employment, and equity reporting.
  • Monitor fixed-term contracts, handle transfers, study loans, and exit interviews.
  • Provide HR reports and support committees (Employment Equity, Training).
  1. Retirement Fund
  • Process terminations and withdrawals from Bidcorp Fund.
  • Maintain terminated employee files and complete UI-19 forms.
  • Keep HR Manager updated with monthly reports and fund changes.
  1. Medical Aid
  • Register employees, manage documentation, and notify payroll of changes.
  • Escalate problem areas to HR Manager.
  1. Industrial Relations
  • Advise staff/management on IR matters.
  • Attend and support disciplinary hearings, appeals, and grievances.
  • Ensure adherence to IR policy and legislation updates.
  1. General HR Support
  • Communicate effectively with staff and management.
  • Draft HR policies/procedures and contribute to HR publications.
  • Maintain professionalism and policy knowledge.
Financial Responsibilities
  • Salary advice forms, promotion/increase/job title change letters.
  • Administration of staff loans and study loans.
  • Accurate offboarding documentation and payroll updates.
Performance Indicators
  • 100% accuracy in appointments and documentation.
  • 100% accuracy in offboarding processes.
  • Zero audit findings.
