Automation Specialist (Robotics)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BTech Degree Electronics / Programming and/or relevant qualification
  • At least 5 years relevant and/or similar experience in automotive manufacturing/manufacturing, Technical Training, Programming and Robotics.

Technical Requirements:

  • Robotic Experience, preferably ABB and Kawasaki
  • PLC – Intermediate, including programming, fault finding and installation, preferably Mitsubishi and Omron
  • Electro pneumatics
  • Project Management

Duties:

  • Process Analysis – analyse existing process to identify opportunities for automation and improvement
  • System Design and Development – Design, develop and implement automated systems and processes using various tools and technologies
  • Testing and Validation – Thoroughly test and validate automation systems and processes using various tools and technologies
  • Trouble shooting and Maintenance – Troubleshoot and maintain existing automation infrastructure , addressing any issues that arise
  • Documentation – create and maintain documentation for automation processes, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Collaboration with cross functional teams to identify automation need and solutions.
  • Conduct regular system performance assessments make recommendations for optimisation.
  • Performing cost benefit analysis to justify automation investments.
  • Generate reports on automation project performance and results
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Integrate automation systems with other systems or analytical tools
  • Provide maintenance and production technical support
