Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant

Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant Accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree NQF Level 6/7 advantageous)
- 24 years experience in a Bookkeeping or Junior Accounting role
- Exposure to corporate or group company environments beneficial
- Experience working on Sage X3 or similar ERP systems
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (IFRS exposure advantageous but not essential)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Processing and capturing of financial transactions accurately and timeously
- Assisting with month-end processes and meeting strict deadlines
- Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of management reports and financial packs
- Maintaining Fixed Asset registers, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Assisting with internal controls and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Supporting audit requirements and resolving queries
- General finance administration and ad hoc duties as required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Team player with a proactive attitude
- Reliable, accountable, and results-driven
