Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Hospitality qualification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 23 years' experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Experience working with restaurant POS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations
  • Supervise daily restaurant operations and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure all restaurant areas are clean, organised, and fully prepared for service.
  • Monitor food and beverage presentation and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow.
Team Supervision
  • Lead and motivate front-of-house staff during shifts.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members.
  • Ensure staff adhere to grooming, uniform, and service standards.
  • Assist with shift planning and staff allocations.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Support the induction and onboarding of new employees.
Guest Service
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive dining experience for guests.
  • Handle guest queries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure guest requests are addressed efficiently and courteously.
  • Promote a guest-focused culture within the team.
Stock & Administration
  • Assist with stock control and inventory management.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
  • Ensure accurate billing and cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Complete daily operational reports as required.
  • Assist with restaurant audits and compliance checks.
