The Club has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join the team. The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all guest-facing food and beverage services across the Club.The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the holistic success of the Club’s Food and Beverage objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all FOH outlets (Bars, Service Areas, Halfway House, Beverage Cart, Retail Shop, Padel Restaurant and Driving Range Kiosk):
- Implement and develop service SOPs
- Management of guest and member complaints
- Ensure understanding of guest and member journey
- Ensure consistency in service, quality and presentation
- Ensure Health and Safety Compliance
- Staff Management and Development – ensure high performance culture
- Beverage and retail oversight
- Develop beverage service standards, menus, promotions and upselling strategies
- Oversee stock, including stock control and storage practices
- Oversee shop operations – product selection, merchandising and sales targets
- Build strong supplier relationships
- Financial and administrative oversight of Front of House functions (budgeting, controls, financial reporting, costing, forecasting and measurements)
- Oversee and co-ordinate all events, functions and member engagements
- Strategic and innovative management of the Front of House outlets to ensure growth in profit
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management / F&B Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Food and Beverage or Front of House management role
- Experience in a country club, hotel or similar premium hospitality environment preferred
- Proven track record of managing multi-outlet Food and Beverage operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proven experience in managing budgets and achieving GP targets
- High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Proven experience in POS and stock management systems
- Sound knowledge of SA Labour Laws and OHS compliance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, member and guest focussed environment
